Russian Cosmism is a philosophy and cultural movement that began in Russia around the turn of the 19th century and in the early part of the 20th century. It was an attempt to combine the best ideas from various Eastern and Western philosophical schools and traditions and those of the Russian Orthodox Church into one coherent system.
